Fully agree with all said in the reply to Sanparks. I was appalled by the 'opinion piece' published by Sanparks. They do themselves huge disservice by putting out these aggressive, hostile statements that are completely without merit or substance. Any forward thinking entity would have sacked their communications director (or whatever he calls himself) long ago because I have come to see that this sort of rubbish is his usual modus operandi.

Ja, mith...it's symptomatic of government institutions here, shoot first and ask questions later sort of thing...

I brought up the apartheid line on the SANParks facebook page. Maybe I'm just a simple person, but that seems to be a very generic and charged response to any opposition. It's tiresome.

I missed that one Stark. How long did they let that stay there?

Saw your comment on Facebook Stark
That is the line used when all else has failed or they do not have an answer. If they want to talk about apartheid, the policy was divide and rule. Exactly what they did with Africa Wild/AIKONA. Now AIKONA must be squashed. Notice how quick they are to respond to anything Dr. Joubert says or anything that is said in the Beeld.
Here is a gem from the national spokesperson for the Honorary Rangers in a PM to me:
1. Do we have a problem with Rhino Poaching in Kruger
2. How did 47 Roan Antelope die in Kruger
3. Were rhinos sold that were later hunted.
4. Was a rhino census done in 2012

Questions are:“I urge you to be careful of who you lend your ears to. There is a core group on the Forum, who you know as well as I do, who have no agenda but to question and create mistrust regarding anything SANParks does. It is a reactionary approach mostly driven by a political agenda. I have been concerned that you may have become sucked in to this. I trust that you are able to distinguish between their approach and that of asking legitimate questions with an open mind

By "the rest of us" I meant the ones NOT waving the flag and without blinkers
