Make sure they are your ashes or you might end up sandwiched in a bun with some salad & relish if the recent meat content debacle is anything to go by.Richprins wrote:

How common!
I'll have a bench, at the picnic spot...you have no idea how old Frank is there, but he'll probably still outlive me!

Do you still remember about the tombstone that suddenly appear near Nkambeni tented camp last year. With fresh flowers at all. Wonder why permission was given for burial by SANParks?

Re: Scattering of ashes in the KNP
I can't understand this way to put ashes everywhere in the park... with plaque and other terrible things... it's a park not a cemetery
a bench is a good "memory" idea
but stay the ashes
here we need a permission to disperse ashes in the forest, lake etc...

Re: Scattering of ashes in the KNP
This from Duke's TR...
My personal take is that this is blunt "overkill" from SP....and don't know about any urns or caskets left lying around?
The sign is offensive, in my opinion, and would alarm or confuse foreign visitors.
I think the number of bodies' ashes strewn somewhere in Kruger should be approaching the 500 to 1000 mark over all the years, but that is that...ashes!
