Lions Part 1

On a recent day trip I was fortunate to see 5 of the 9 lion which are in the main game area in Addo. 2 were on a hillside quite a distance away, but Roy, Nomad & Gina were situated fairly close to the road in Wayne's Valley (that's the area just to the north of marker #27 on the park map). I was very excited because it was the first time I had managed to find Roy and Nomad (I still haven't figured out which male is which yet). They really are huge lions - particularly when you see the size of them compared to Gina

Gina isn't small by any means... same size as any other adult lioness I've seen around other parks

Addo is of course famous for being one of the few areas left to find the flightless dung beetle. Quite how they roll up dung into such a perfect ball is still a mystery to me
