PE to Kruger

Hi All

We'll be travelling from Port Elizabeth to Kruger in September and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on the route to take. The first part is fine - we'll be heading north on the N10 and N1 to Bloem, and then continuing up to near Kroonstad for an overnight stop. I'm more interested in the route from there. The obvious way is to continue up the N1, take the N12 then out along the N4. But perhaps other wise forumites might have other suggestions or better routes avoiding JHB?
