Seems the Half-collared is an "uncommon resident" which may account for this being only our second sighting!

On the verandah of our chalet was a tree stump where a Carpenter Bee had taken up residence in a hole.
This large, unidentified Ant was exploring the braai area.
Another different wasp species, I think this is a Paper Wasp of the Polistes Sp.
This looks like an Amethyst Fruit Chafer Beetle.
