Phalabora Mining Company has been bought over by, you guessed it, the Chinese. It is now known as Phalabora Copper. There is one truck departing the mine with a full load every 3 minutes. The road between Phalaborwa and Mica is now the worst in the country when it comes to potholes, helped along extremely well with the rain we have had of late. Each truck carries 30 tons of magnetite and there is apparently a 15 year supply in the area.

SANParks could make a killing if they allowed these vehicles to transit the park to Croc Bridge, way more than they would make by a couple of lousy moaning clients trying to view game and sleep in hotels. This is your chance SANParks, think of the income, that is what your main goal is, is it not? You could fill every camp from here to the south with truck drivers and the odd hooker that they pick up along the way.

This is your last chance Dr Mabunda, to make real money. Forget about a few small trucks laden with poles, we are talking huge volumes and you would be doing your under privileged communities in the area a huge favour by not having these trucks destroy their area, hell, what do we need parks for anyway? You could even implement an e-toll system at two or three crucial areas. You mentioned a while back that the reopening of Skukuza Airport will prevent people driving these dangerous roads en-route to the park, well, by diverting this magnetite shipment through the park you will be making the public roads safer for all to use. Jeez, you can only win if you plan this correctly! =O:

Hmmmm...... very interesting , and makes you think .

Let's postulate .

China economy needs minerals ( phosphate , iron and copper ) .
Chinese people want medicine .
Chinese believe rhino horn cures them .
Big Chinese business set up rhino poaching operation in South Africa .
Chinese people pay big money to Chinese business men , for 1000 rhino horns .
Chinese business men buy Phalaborwa Mining company .
They can now export the rhino horn together with minerals to China .........

Next on China shopping list :O^ :O^ :O^

Is this fact :-? Why isn't it on the SPF under the same thread :-? If it's fact, then it should be :-?

Wild speculation/postulating, okie! =O: =O: =O:

But ja, the truck route runs all around the Western and Southern borders of Kruger, so I would just arrange a drop-off with a driver anywhere along there, not even mentioning horn, dump the "package" amongst the magnetite, and have my Moz. Harbour buddy pick it out of the magnetite at the depot there!

They don't search the magnetite at Komatipoort border post, obviously...and voila!

I wouldn't doubt it is fact. SPF is NOT a venue for a fully factual account of what has transpired but rather in my opinion, a selective version of facts. The response from Mr Sibiya is obviously a complete contradiction to the earlier response. Why would they then put it on the SPF unless it was specifically posted by the recipient? Then they would probably ask for the original email screenshot. (squawk squawk) But this would then generate a whole heap of debate not conducive to positive PR so then it would probably be locked or completely ignored and no further official response would be forthcoming. (squawk squawk)

I’m suggesting that it’s posted by someone who can as it specifically indicates a complete contraction from the original response, which is on the SPF. This will highlight the incompetence and potentially more serious issues around these trucks to all those cheerleaders who aren’t knowledgeable and still haven’t seen the light.

This also then puts more pressure on SANParks to weed out corruption and stop this from happening again because a larger spotlight will be on them :-?

By not posting, we are actually saying “There’s no point as they will just do “this and then that, etc”” , so we are residing to this fact and have given up -O-

If we are going to make any difference then this type of thing needs to be displayed to the largest audience and that’s possibly the SPF or facebook. It obviously needs to be 100% fact though. There’s no harm in contacting the aunty who posted it on facebook and asking for the original mail -O-

If the email has a disclaimer, even if the Tannie received it she would need the permission of the sender to share it. -O- -O-
