Sometimes it’s not until you don’t see what you want to see, that you truly open your eyes.

Re: Tuskers of Kruger
As an inital contribution here is an elephant I saw in full musth on S100 in KNP last November. Moody, dribbling urine, streaming from his temporal glands - the full works. Maybe not a Tusker yet but give him a few years.
Aat - if you want a full size picture for future reference please let me know and I'll email it over.

Re: Tuskers of Kruger
Our possible big tusker or emerging tusker sightings in KNP have been really frustrating. Not because we haven't had any sightings but because EVERY time we couldn't get a good photo op
Saw two very big boys I think at Malopenyana but they were too far away for our old camera to get a clear shot.
And we have seen another big guy around Letaba many times too but always with just enough bush cover to make accurate id and full tusk visibility poor.
I will be in KNP in November with the new 'proper' DSLR camera and keen as mustard! (just have to figure out how to work the camera now )

We saw these two big boys together on the S27 (the road to Hippo Pools) in August 2013.
