1. "Drunch" is meant to be "brunch", but ends up being lunch because the people who were MEANT to be there were drinking somewhere... O**

2. "Larney" means classy/upmarket!

\O

Why is larney not in the vocabulary :-? It is not English -O-

P.S. found it: South African slang, which probably originated somewhere in the South of Johannesburg, that describes something which is expensive, fancy and yuppy.

It can also be used to describe a very rich person living in the more affluent parts of Johannesburg, especially the Northern parts of the city.
Peter: Hey Sipho, where do you work?
Sipho: In the north of Joburg
Peter: Gee with all the larnies, huh?

OR

John: Damn, look at that Rolls-Royce Phantom, what a car!
Piet: Yeah, very larney indeed!

Hi gang!

I'm so sorry that I haven't picked this up yet. Some of you know that I'm in the tax business here in the States and next week is our filing deadline. Give me a few weeks to put tax season to bed and then I'll give the real, true, unedited story of my encounter(s) with RichPrins and company... (0!) 0*\ \O
