Cubitjie had been dry for some days while we were there as
apparantly there had been a problem with the water supply.
The problem was amended by hauling a water tank next to
the waterhole so that it could be filled. Saw that on the 20th March 2013.
We went up to Gharagab and Grootkolk for 3 nights on the 21st and when
we returned the tank was gone and the waterhole nicely filled up with
pumped water again.

God put me on earth to accomplish a certain amount of things. Right now I'm so far behind that I'll never die.

(Will divide this into 2 entries to keep the photo count down.)
On our way from Grootkolk to Nossob we came across three jackals trying to catch their breakfast.
Attempt after attempt was made -
but most ended up with nothing more than a mouth full of feathers.

(2nd part)
Every now and then one's curiosity, and perhaps lack of experience, got the best of them.
The jackal's speed and jumping ability paid off this time.
He wisely took the sandgrouse far away from the company of his 2 other competitors, and devoured it.
Having polished off his prize, he headed back for his next course.
