305. Black-winged Pratinclole - 100 Points

Post by Super Mongoose »

305. Black-winged Pratinclole Glareola nordmanni

Not easy to ID, but with a good forum friend's help, the correct ID was made. So this means some extra points for the ladies... O/\ O/\ O/\

The Black-winged Pratincole only has a small patch of pink/crimson at the base of the upper bill, where the Collared Pratincole has a lot more colour on the upper and lower bill with a thin black line visible between upper and lower bill. The Black-winged Pratincole is bulkier and longer-legged than the Collared Pratincole.

This is not my photo and not for points, but for comparison a Collared Pratincole
