Vlakteplaas Section Rangers Husband caught with Rhino Horn
From an article in the Lowvelder today the Husband of the NEW Section Ranger at Vlakteplaas in the far north was caught trying to sell a BLACK Rhino Horn..Went to court got a very leniant sentence and just have to wonder how his wife handles a .458 Mag Rifle in the veld. Our friend in Communications at Skukuza is really earning that 6 figure salary with this weeks Duck n Dive action on the Vlakteplaas saga following on with the taxi expose and subsequent denial and threats last week

Streeksveldwagter van Vlakteplaas se man gevonnis
Me. Agnes Mukondeleli se man, mnr.

On my f....., get real!!!
The guilty gets a suspended sentence and a warning not to use the vehicle for an offence again, otherwise it will be confiscated.
Sorry, but the BS really ticks me off!! Chuck the guilty behind bars and remove the vehicle from the road and ban it from entering the park! This is a bloody joke, an old joke that is not funny any more!!

Re: Vlakteplaas Section Rangers Husband caught with Rhino Ho
Basically the husband of Section Ranger Agnes Mukondeleli, Rexon Themba Tibane (41), was caught in possession of the horn, pleaded guilty and was given a three year sentence SUSPENDED for 5 years! His accomplice, a youngster, also pleaded guilty and said that Tibane had approached him in June 2011 to take the horn and sell it.
Police received a tip-off and arrested Tibane as he was about to sell the horn.
Mr Mabasa told press that the culprit was driving the couple's vehicle at the time of the arrest, and should they be naughty again, the vehicle would be confiscated...

Questions:
1. How did this only come out after the sentencing?
2. You can get fined over R20 000 for "reckless driving" in Kruger, but no fine for possession of illegal rhino horn?
At least there was a tip-off!
