There is a possibility this may be a hoax:
The pic came up over two weeks after it was allegedly taken.
The whole arrangement of the carcass looks staged.
The road may not even be in Kruger.
It may be photoshopped.
One front leg has been cut off for some reason.
The time of day indicates plenty of time for predators to have sorted this feast out since morning, or earlier.
But maybe not?
Who is to say when the photographer found the relevant place to post it? Many of my friends have little idea of the relevant sites, and FB probably eventually came up?
The arrangement of the carcass may be consistent with the butcher being just about ready to load everything, when surprised? They take all parts, for all sorts of reasons?
I think it is a Kruger road...the flattened ellie/rhino dung indicates heavy traffic and is typical.
I don't think it's photoshopped, shadows are consistent, also regarding the time of day. The bodily fluid trail draining off to the side of the road is an unusual detail, probably seepage that occurred slowly while the whole consignment was lying there!
I have seen a roadkill impala lying in a tar road early in the morning, and upon returning that afternoon expecting all sorts of predator action, found the carcass lying there absolutely untouched!
