It's not uncommon to see yellow mongoose in the park, but they're generally difficult to photograph as they tend to stay well away from the roads. We were fortunate that this one ventured quite close for its portrait lol

Not only did we see Roy, but were treated to a great sighting of Nomad. Normally these guys hang out together, but on Saturday they were quite a distance apart. I was very pleased because Nomad is one of the lions that I never normally get to see close up lol

Nomad is a magnificent lion - noticeably bigger than Roy :shock:
