They were taken in august 2007 when all the Eland moved south to get water. They were everywhere ! It was a well documented story at the time, but was quite a sight. The lions were off coarse having a ball with so many eland around (some of them in a very bad state) I'll never forget - on the stretch between TR and Kij Kij there must have been at least 10 carcasses. Some of it was actually quite sad, as some eland would drink too much water and die from that.
