04 MAY 2015 - DAY 19 - RAPTOR RIDGE TO VENTERSBURG - ONS KUIERHUIS - PART 4/4 - THE FINAL CHAPTER. :-(

This was not only a working farm but also a farm museum as it had been in the family for four generations.

A tie press.

That evening we had the biggest surprise of our lives. As it was to be our last night we had arranged to have dinner at a cost of R75.00 per person. We did not expect much but we got a two meat, four vegetable main course and a malva pudding and ice cream for dessert. What was even more amazing was the dining room set up. We hope that the photos below do justice to the ambiance.

Finally, just as the curtain falls at the end a stage production, so the sun sets in the vast landscape of the Free State farm as we bid farewell to all the wonderful mites for staying on board for the entire road trip. O0 O0 O0 ^Q^ ^Q^ ^Q^ :ty: :ty: :ty:

You what? Finished? This can't have been three weeks! I would like to complain about time passing to quickly. 0-

But what a way to end the trip, hey? Lovely setting (even if I also think that it's kinda different to have such a rustic accommodation coming with a private pool lol ), fab looking dinner and a wonderful sunset to round off the journey. ^Q^

I think the bird is a familiar chat, but I wouldn't swear on it.

Thanks heaps for sharing your wonderful trip with us! I enjoyed it big times as it showed me a bit of the road less travelled (especially by me lol ).
You're really lucky because you do live in a beautiful country. :-0
