It is also quite far from camps etc , and therefore one can often sit there for hours on end , without being disturbed by other visitors . And because not many people visit it , the seats are quite often full of bat droppings and so on

It was therefore one of those times , when we must have been the first humans there within the previous few weeks or so . As usual we took some cloths with us to wipe the seats , and were busy wiping these clean , with SO moaning and grumbling about unmannered bats , and the having place being invaded by all sorts of varmints , and me just trying to calm her down, saying : yeahhh , yeahhh , don't worry , just get on with it , when suddenly she gave a load shriekkkkk !!! , and ran out , shouting " there's a snake in the roof !! " .
I followed her very quickly , and ever since then , before entering that hide ( and others ) carefully check out the underside of the roof , just in case that mamba is still there
