Re: Richprins' Short Business Trips to The Park
That night the heavens opened up, apparently...didn't notice anything as the aircon was on and one doesn't really hear rain on the thatched roofs?
A croc next to the fence, just for Pumbaa!
Notice the weir in the background...we monitored it quite closely and the waterflow had picked up by that evening!
Wet desert...
Our first elephant of the trip! We didn't see many at all!
Not even a stream crossing here....the Nhlowa road which I hadn't been on in years!
The nice thing about travelling with leachy is that you have no say whatsoever in where you are going, unless he asks your opinion for consideration and probable rejection, so you can just sit back and enjoy!
Another croc!
Huge!!!!

Like the puddles
And the second croc Good proof shot of it.
But I think that aircon excuse is just a rubbish pretext... No mention of the Harrier there.

Ja, the Raptor helps for sleeping, Mello! Leachy is a noisy sleeper emitting sounds from all orifices and having flashbacks and dreams, presumably!
Anyway!
Forgot to say we saw lion across the river just before the sausage tree there, quite clear, but too dark for far pics! So big 5 done!
Some Auslanders screeched to a halt under the sausage tree, and leapt out of their car...dunno what they wanted to do?
Leachy boomed an admonishment to them, and they quickly jumped back in...I was a bit scared myself...but well done!
Sunset Dam getting greener and greener... (Hippo arm)
And what I think is a delightful pic...Sabie River flowing well at the bridge there!
Another great scenic shot....it is always so open there....I tried taking some sky pics on the move, not so good, so maybe stopped for this one?
Onwards to Mlondozi...millions of warthog coming out of their nests, and more raptors circling all over the place!
And the traditional greasy breakfast! With Marmite!
The picnic spot is fine, and the tourists seem to know they must do their business and leave, as vehicles pour in? Interesting how smokers become popular with strangers once a skottel needs to be lit...
A very strange sighting on the way back...4 baby giraffe together? There were many others around, but never seen this?
And termite/ant turrets I was ordered to photograph....I think they build them to stop rain coming into the holes?
