Re: Walking with Lions
So you were not really "walking with lions" ; more like "getting an electric shock looking at lions" ...or is the walking still to come?
How close were you? However it must have been quite exciting

Catching up
Invited yourselves At least you got in still
Lion already and a cool camp site
A blackie at the waterhole
I wonder what that jackal was chowing
The scrub hare has serious wing nuts
Great pics as per normal

Thanks FluttsFlutterby wrote:Very handsome lions. Love the balancing ellie and the warties.
That's perhaps a better title Lis, but it just sounded too longLisbeth wrote:So you were not really "walking with lions" ; more like "getting an electric shock looking at lions" ...or is the walking still to come?

We were probably about 15m away from them and at that distance the fence seems rather insignificant - even if it packs a punch

Close enough for an adrenaline rush... that's what it was and not the electric fence

Re: Walking with Lions
Norman is actually the more handsome one of the coalition Shame, he's got that limb and has had for such a pretty long time by now.
Had a good giggle you telling us that Zwaai was quite relaxed and then seeing the photo underneath. Looks everything but relaxed.
Must have been a smashing experience! Luckily, the fence is electrified - even if you probably didn't think so at the time...
(Remember vividly walking with a leopard... totally amazing too )

God put me on earth to accomplish a certain amount of things. Right now I'm so far behind that I'll never die.

Norman has always had a very wild look about him... something in his eyes makes you feel like he's looking right through youMel wrote:Norman is actually the more handsome one of the coalition Shame, he's got that limb and has had for such a pretty long time by now.

It really was a great experience - particularly having them all to ourselves
