KTP - Urikaruus Wilderness Camp (Honeymoon Suite)

As already posted on the development thread:

- privacy from the other units
- great birding because of the many trees around it
- good view to your left
- gated parking: lions and hyenas don't bite your tires anymore
- mosquito mesh frames that allow you to open and close windows easily
- enough space for suitcases and all other travel gadgets
- for shade you can sit in the "garage" and still see the riverbed (and the waterhole through a wooden fence like at Nossob hide)

on the down side:
- only one level: with two people it's dfficult for one to have a nap while the other is still moving around
- evening photography: totally against the sun when trying to capture animals at the waterhole
- general visibility worse than in the other units
- steep staircase to get into the unit
- kitchen units, aka cupboards already not closing properly anymore (after only FOUR months of being on the market)
- no shade after about 4 pm... and we were not even in the real summer yet!
- entrance door faces the afternoon sun and has no blacking out the sun which means it heats up the unit big time, even on rather cool days...
- no visibility to the camp assistant's unit in case of emergency
- shower built in so lopsided that water doesn't drain appropriately
- braai again built in the middle of the balcony which uses up space at night when the fire is going

You'll need the curtains against the afternoon sun, but if you have to eat inside, like we did, you can watch the waterhole from the table (you might need to re-adjust its position a bit though.)

Why don't they make the shower with non transparent panels?

Again the usual flaw: Nowhere to hang the towels in the bathroom Do they expect you to put them back on the bed where you found them........soaked?

The same in the kitchen

If you want to hang up a dress or trousers, they'll touch the bottom of the wardrobe (I always hang my trouser using hangers with clothespins ).

I am sure that they do not ask a woman before putting in all the practical things

Apart from all the practical details, like: where is the sun? Where do you hang the towels? Transparent shower etc. etc. it looks very nice

The trousers and dresses I need in the KTP certainly don't have to go on a hanger like that.

But you can always use the curtain poles!

That was just to be even more polemical The important point is the lack of places where to hang the towels. It's the same in Kruger
