Yes Flutts, those are the loops Thanks again for popping inFlutterby wrote:Well done to Albert for choosing the loops! Are those the loops on the right hand side (if you are travelling towards Lower Sabie)?
And some nice lion sightings too!

Albert is going to nag for these loops every time nowRichprins wrote: Lis!
No idea why the cheetah is slow...the predators work in mysterious ways!
Good call, Albert!

Thanks STF I will see if I can dig up a pic of the cheetah and impala in the same framesteamtrainfan wrote:Well done Albert - excellent choice.
Stunning photos of the cheetah but the mystery remains as to why she did not tackle the impala.

7th Lower Sabie continued
Hawkeyes had a spoonbill face on because our Mathekenyane picture mission had been a failure in the wind, however the wind had mellowed so she was now nagging to visit Mlondozi for pics. I didn’t really care as I was in the “relax, burnt out” mode and others bought into the idea, so we left camp at around 3:30pm.
About halfway to Mlondozi we found a car stopped and some lions, including cubs, that were trying to squeeze into a small spot of shade.
There was nobody at Mlondozi so the rats were hanging their teeth out as the selfie poses could happen freely. First a family pic mission started and then I headed on an exploration to the top section of the picnic site and shared wars stories with Albert, the Cow chased a bird around while Bushpig and Hawkeyes continued with their “I was there” pics.
The drive back down the H10 produced the same again, but this time we stopped for a dead hippo on the bridge that crocs were attempting to chow, however it was already starting to stink, so we didn’t hang around.
We then drove to Sunset Dam and just north of the dam some ellies showed up next to the road.
We still had time for another plot, hence decided to drive up towards our old faithful Lubyelubye, but on arrival noticed no cars around so thought it was a waste of time, however while turning in the little loop north of the rocks I spotted a lioness cruising around and then she came down to the water’s edge for a drink.
I was keen for an early start to our braai as it was our last night in the park, so we decided to head back, but stopped first for a boon aunty that was feeding it’s junior. I was more interested in the strange hairstyle as the mother boon had bits of hair standing up all over the place.

Nice pics of the lioness.
I like Mlondozi! There is this wonderful view on the river where there is always something going on
