snippets from an outing (or two)
Re: snippets from an outing (or two)
Wonderful pics! I especially like the oxpecker parents and chick (never seen them in trees before), the violet bird pair, and of course the leopard. Sounds like it was quite the successful trip.

Re: snippets from an outing (or two)
having checked in at punda for 3 nights i headed for kloppies early on the 1st morning
twas good to see the kloppies baobab fully dressed..
kloppies dam was like a scene from a cartoon sketch
where this buffalo had been waiting so long for the rains...
weirdest thing was that another buffalo had decided to keep the carcass company
and placed himself by his side..
this lion photo-bombed my photo of the
"tree-stump demon"
there was very little water in the dam at this stage !!!
and this is all that remains of the big shady tree on the
opposite bank of the dam...
the future is not what it used to be

Re: snippets from an outing (or two)
this lamb was the first one that i saw up north.
the poor fella was being pushed around by the other members of the family
as though he was an intruder
the pafuri area was nice and green
with quite a bit of surface water
next to the road..

So, this one laid down next to his "mate" and died there in the mud too?leachy wrote:weirdest thing was that another buffalo had decided to keep the carcass company and placed himself by his side..
God put me on earth to accomplish a certain amount of things. Right now I'm so far behind that I'll never die.
