Aha! This is where you hide your fabulous photos, ExFmem... Saw them posted all over the nominations but couldn't find the according travel tale
Anyway... Do you think it was that buff you had taken a photo of the previous day that turned into lion food?
Wonderful bird shots. I so hope to see fish eagle again and finally get a good photo of one (like yours!)

God put me on earth to accomplish a certain amount of things. Right now I'm so far behind that I'll never die.

Thank you each for the nice compliments - nan, RP, Flutts, Mel, and BC
nan - they were taken over a couple days' visits, not just one. We just sat and enjoyed the relative solitude, sitting to the side (curve-outs?), or moving to them when someone else arrived. It was such a tranquil respite to just sit at eye level with the water surface and enjoy its visitors.
RP - thank you for the photo forwarding - such a treasure to this forum, and your students as well, I'm VERY sure of (don't end a sentence in a preposition-white flag??? )
Mel - yep, got too lazy with this trip, so decided to just post here and there - much more to come I really have no way to know if THAT buff was the one taken, as there were actually 2 in the area, or another one that happened by later

From Bushcraft, April!
As we neared the Biyamiti weir we spotted a car parked at the view point above the weir and they all had their cameras out, so we crossed the weir and immediately identified what was causing the excitement.
