We don't get paid in pounds, Dzombs, and we are also amongst the most overtaxed people in the world.

However the point I was trying to make is that the most expensive toll on the N4 is comparable in price to the tolls in the UK.

To me that was quite clear and proves that it is very expensive for SA and GB is not a cheap country

I often look at the cost of things in terms of the price of petrol.
So @ £1.25/L (last time I filled up) the £6 toll is equivalent of just under 5L (and bearing in mind 80% of that is tax - duty, VAT etc)

What is the current price of petrol / L in SA?
And then divide by the R88 toll - would give a more equal comparison?

£6 is 4.8L
R88 is 5.9L
So the equivalent toll in SA is cheaper
