 @#$ I have a question relative to this hail storm CAUSED BY MOTHER NATURE, NOT MY NEGLIGENCE O/ O/

Just got my cc bill for our car rental during May and AVIS charged me an extra 33,000Rands ($2500 US) due to the pock marks (NO PAINT DAMAGE, just small indentations you can see if you look at a certain angle) on the roof. That more than doubled my bill.

Avis also showed us that EVERY SINGLE car in their lot that wasn't rented out was also likewise affected.

Does anyone know if this is standard practice to charge a customer for something they had NO culpability for? Can I assume every single person in a rental car in Kruger on that day had to pay this outrageous extra fee??? O/

Any advice or input would be most appreciated. :ty:

I suppose that it depends on the kind of insurance that you had. A partial insurance helmet should cover it. Also a normal insurance should cover it. You'll have to read through your copy of the rental contract.

I really don't know, because mostly I get a full cover in order to avoid surprises.

Yes. you'll have to check your contract, and the insurance you had. Hope you were covered because that's a hefty bill!! 0*\
