Re: 1st time for KTP
I gather that you're NOT camping then?RobertT wrote: ↑Tue May 29, 2018 8:22 am Thanks Mel, will become a member of KTP group.
Dates are from 20th April. I have a mixed bag of camping + units at moment. Trying to go all units so will see what comes up.
Twee Rivieren was all that was available and it is camping at this point, but am confident I will change it.
I have an RF4Z in Mata Mata at moment on the only night the Kalahari tented camp is available, should I change?
The riverfront units at Mata are nice and more comfortable than the tents at KTC, so maybe you want to hang on to it.
You get aircon and a proper table outside whereas in KTC you'll either have to bring a camping table or you'll eat in your lap.
But be aware that people will try to be the first to make gate opening in the mornings at Mata and the queues are worse than in KTC.
Having said that and you being used to Kruger, I suppose you'll find it rather easy to cope with
Good luck with changing your bookings.
We got our last night in the KTP on the 20th at Kielie at the moment. But that might also change. Maybe we'll get glimpse of each other
when you are going for your first morning drive and we come down on our way out.

Re: 1st time for KTP
I have managed to make a few changes, some camps I will have to change units but at least I have a pillow for my head in evening. Looks like quite a bit of driving too, but am ok with that.

Re: 1st time for KTP
When are you planning to enter the park on the 20th?
And I agree… quite some driving. But at least you'll get around and the KTP is always good for surprises even in the heat of the day

Nah, my question aimed at "what time"
