Lovely honey badger sighting....in the wild ;-)

I think that your little raptor is a shikra (little banded goshawk).

Lovely view on the river \O

I believe you see less game when it is cold.
And add a strong wind to the mix and you see nothing. This could have been our problem as we had many windy and cold days.

Nice to have a long view of a badger!

That is a huge warthog!

Where is that pan exactly?

Love the sceneries!
That pan is on S131 about 6 west of the H9.

Not often one see the honey badger in the wild. We were very lucky that the gentleman told us to look on the other side of the bridge.

Thank you for the raptor ID.

06 June 2018 - Part 1/3.

We left Letaba and travelled the following route:

H1-6, H15 to Makhadzi for breakfast, back to H1-6, S144, S143, S50, S49 and to check in at Mopani. Our first time here.

Please ID this for us.

Is this a juvenile Magpie Shrike? Seems to have too much white?

I would say your first bird is a Brown Snake-eagle, and the shrike looks partially leucistic. -O-

Another nice tusker. \O
