Once in KTP a gent told us there was a cheetah he was looking at - after MUCH searching we could only find an AWC :-? Another car confirmed there was no cheetah around. 0- 0-

:ty:

On we went, as said happy that we had had a great sighting, definitely our last for the day in these conditions!

Nyamundwa Dam:

q.jpg

There was green algae, which is very strange for the wet season?

q1.jpg

And then a rather upsetting episode. First thing we saw was a senior ranger standing leaning against his bakkie in the middle of the Doispane Road... 0- :-?

Turns out he was looking after this wounded rhino.

q2.jpg

We chatted a bit and he said it had wounds in the neck and hind leg, and he was waiting for the vet. The frustration and sadness was evident in the man, so we didn't tarry long. The rhino never moved. Hopefully all ended well! :-(

q4.jpg

There were 3 ostrich females, and I have NEVER heard of ostrich in this area! 0:  0:

So X#X :-0 !

Down the S1 some wilderbeest...they are really not photogenic aminals.

q5.jpg

then we turned down the S65 to look for Pumbaa's imaginary new road. I really like this pic! [O]

The Nwaswitshaka, and other streams in the area for that matter, were looking unhealthy!

q7.jpg

The water was milky, exactly like with sewage, but that is impossible as the river does not come from outside the park! -O- 0-

q8.jpg

And then a very strange contraption built on top of the valve assembly at Nwaswitshaka waterhole... :-?
