Okie, so this is as good as the SA wood ?okie wrote: ↑Thu May 23, 2019 7:55 am I have used olive wood from when I prune trees here on the farm .Olive wood is dense and heavy , more than 1000kg per cubic meter , with a very fine grain , turn darker as it grows older , and fantastic for furniture manufacture . Needs to be well dried , and burns very well with fairly long-lasting embers .
I have located a supplier of the Olive not too far from where I live - 10 min drive.
So I will go and pick up a bag on the weekend.
If that's no good I will investigate the options of the SA wood
It gets a bit confusing as some companies quote in kg and some in litres
