I don't have a big issue with the shooting of the dog and fully get the reasons -the fact it was done in close proximity to guests with young children is my concern and I tend to agree with R.P and I think there may be a bit of SANPARKS PR spin here

If they did not see any poachers, how do they know it's a poachers' dog?
Perhaps is more acceptable to the public to shoot a poachers dog than a stray dog

That is in the Redrocks Road ..at the west end there is the No Entry sign to the Shangoni Rangers House 35 Kms further West at the Park Boundary ..Lets say the Village was 5 kms other side the fence so thats 40 kms from the sign, Lets sat the goat was 10 kms east of the sign near Bateleur /Tshanga ..Thats 50 Kms due east straight line from the Village !!!! How did this happen ONLY in Africa and HOW did the goat survive

They keep goats at the police/border post at Pafuri though...
