I was excited as FINALLY everything was ready to do a bit of live reporting from a waterhole, as I had remembered the cable from the camera to the laptop this time!

Cable - check!
Laptop - check!
Cellphone signal - check!




No water...






Faaaaaark!

Still some animals, though...

So off I rushed to find some water somewhere...

Down the S130 it is like a dead fairy forest...

This car was crawling along...

We were following a Kori bustard that was certainly not going to leave the road and go into the scary forest!

We went on for about a km until a car came from the front!

And then a hideous monster just next to the forest!

This giraffe appears on the "interesting behaviour" thread and seems to be going on fine...

Full of beans I screamed into Duke Waterhole's parking...and it was dry too.

So I just drove around aimlessly.


There were swarms of warthog everywhere, which is actually a good sign regarding veld conditions!

And theoretically I saw lion!

We spotted “monster” 2 weeks ago just outside Lower Sabie but on the H4-1

Flat lion body, still lion

Also spotted that giraffe during our February trip

A pity that that the water at Gesamftombi had gone - Let's hope for some new pretty soon
