Naughty lions all round, Mello!
I didn't know there were warthog there in the desert! You learn things every day here. (Thanks for the water explanation.)
You like the pics with eagles cocking their heads!

who is your contact ( whopping 9 at Urikaruus.) great shots will be there shortly
Pitty I missed this discussion , would love to have known what group that was. I had my share with them at rooiputs where I told them to get out of my camp site. . They went and reported us to sanparks as we got out with a lion 15m away to pitch our tent was about to shoot them with a sling shot ( the photographers) not the lion.
Found them .They stayed at the Rooiputs lodge, I would love to bump into them , just missed them when we stayed there

Two years ago in November, we were falling over the ions, they were all over the place.
When the birds discover the water it looks as if they had none for ages and fall over each other to get there. Great fun They are even different birds from one camp to the other

Wow Mel
Awesome sightings so far. We were there at the same time and it's great to see what we missed
As soon as Debbie has her pics sorted I will start my report.
Loads of lions but no spots

I was quite mad at them at the time And I know I will be again once we're back in April and
there is a brownie no-show
Apparently, the males took out a wildebeest early morning on the 26th. The smell must have
been on to remember I was told by a friend who was there.

Not many warthogs, but you do get to see them every now and then and they are considered a special sighting there
Eagles cocking their heads are the most hilarious. We always have a good laugh when they keep "rapping" with their heads.
You know, like the owls do when they try to figure out what's happening in front of them.

We don't have a special contact, PR. Initially we had four night and some time later 5 nights popped up and we were there at the right time to grab them all.PRWIN wrote: ↑Wed Nov 06, 2019 9:50 am who is your contact ( whopping 9 at Urikaruus.) great shots will be there shortly

Sorry, you lost me on the discussion Are you referring to what I wrote as a comment on Bushcraft's travel tale?

Lion activity comes and goes. I'm sure you remember that we got to see only 6 in total over the course of 2 weeks last time (plus those two starving ones, that I don't include in my sum). But more than 50 different individuals is our personal recordLisbeth wrote: ↑Wed Nov 06, 2019 11:27 am Two years ago in November, we were falling over the ions, they were all over the place.

Watching the sociable weavers at a bird bath makes you realise they are not that sociable at times
But still cute

You were there at the same time? How come we never ran into each other
Probably because you were on the Nossob side while we stayed in the Auob and vice versa...
No spots at all? As in no cheetah either?
