Could not complain about the service in the restaurant there and no to Forget the Pizzeria there also very famous

It was lovely to see the rainbows especially after the rain finally disappeared

At the beginning of the S100 there is always a larger puddle under a tree close to the road where the antelopes do drink from when it rained enough and for sure this year this puddle was extreme large and today we spotted there a lone Egyptian goose gosling



who was obviously waiting for the return of its parents – The days before we saw them regularly together



maybe today there were still nearby but we could not trace them but the gosling was so cute.



Then it got quiet again as already the previous days and only at Nasane we again noticed three younger wildebeests together – maybe the same three as we saw already the day before yesterday



and for sure more were around and resting as well.



Another tawny eagle came across



and also a larger elephant herd





out of which the little ones were playing,

and finally they had to keep up with each other





and more of them were scattered over the whole area and we had great fun in watching and photographing them.





Gudzani dam looked far more peaceful that morning and now the water was only flowing slighting over the dam wall and we even discovered a giant kingfisher on the look out.



Luckily today the causeway was passable although the water was still flowing over same and the normally present the water birds stayed away that morning because the water was still a bit too high. At least we were compensated with the sighting of a couple of amur falcons



a bit further down the road and we could not believe our luck with the weather that day as it was simply the best weather with blue sky nearly the whole day and bearable temperatures.



To our delight another woodland kingfisher was visible and for sure very vocal



and we even spotted more birds such as three banded plovers, another brown raptor and a black shouldered kite



who posed nicely for us but then took off.
