and out of the uncountable crocodiles one took a closer look
and we took close ups from the yellow billed stork.
A grey heron was also around

Re: From Floods and Surprises in River beds
and we then had a good laugh at a huge crocodile on the other side of the causeway waiting with open mouth for the next fish
and we could not but took picture after picture from this reptile.
Then a car wanted to pass and this was for us the signal to also pay a short visit to Pioneer dam but unfortunately besides the breathtaking view it was nothing to be seen so we did not stay that long but also stopped at the Shipandani hide as we still had enough time left and there we spotted a goliath heron, water dikkops, Egyptian goose, crocodiles and hippos.
Then we again got hooked by the weavers busy with their nests
and we could not but took picture after picture from this reptile.

Re: From Floods and Surprises in River beds
I love the picture of the grey heron and also the upside-down weavers are not bad
A croc that close up is slightly scary
There are not that many falcons in Kruger, I think

Re: From Floods and Surprises in River beds
After we stayed in the hide quite a while we returned to the causeway and now could take more close ups of the green backed heron,
the black stork
and from the crocodile still lying in the “rapids” of the Tzendze
and now even in full length – Same indeed looked so funny

the black stork caught a fish
and now we even noticed the Egyptian goose also extreme close
