Yes Mel, my wife and I are very fortunate. Our cottage overlooks the ocean and we are about 300 meters from the shore. I often sit on the veranda and see some amazing things, especially during the whale migration and the sardine run. I was very very lucky to take this photo from my veranda. I actually wanted to take a photo of three whales playing and one of the three happened to breach as I took the photo \O .

Hi all 0/* 0/* , here are three photos taken from my veranda as mentioned yesterday. I will post three more tomorrow. The first photo was taken before I renovated my cottage hence the missing facia boards etc.

Hi all 0/* , here are a few more photos as mentioned yesterday. The first photo was taken from the beach parking area and is of sardine boats on the beach after netting sardines. The nets can be seen extending from the beach into the water. The second and third photos were taken from my veranda, one of a whale that was hitting the sea for about 20 minutes with it tail; we see this often during the whale migration. The other photo is of some of the rocks that are visible from my veranda at spring low tides. I will post a few more photos tomorrow.
