This skenk was caught napping on a tree next to the waterhole
Our last sighting of the day was this Black Backed jackal having a sip to drink from the trough
And then the sunset from camp that evening

Hi Peter no it was no 2,
There is quite a wide access road to the campsite which may give the impression of it being no 1, next to the pan

Hi Peter
We are hoping to be there from 23 May for 3 weeks.
Not too sure of our chances though, but we are praying

Saturday 12 October 2019
We woke up early as we were moving to Twee Rivieren today, and we wanted to sort some od our stuff out before we left for our morning drive.
First up, however, was a photo of the sunrise.
We were pottering around the camp, when I noticed an animal crossing the pan and coming in our direction.
A brown hyena.
It came towards us and specifically campsite no 1 below us. Just as the hyena was nearing the campsite, they noticed it, and the woman rushed to get her camera.
She then proceeded to try and follow it on foot to take photos of it.
It ran off to the north and disappeared.
Thanks lady.
It was still to gloomy for us to get a photo of it, and also quite far away.
As a result of that, we left camp a little late, and were just in time to see this lion disappearing over the dunes to the west, as we approached the waterhole at Polentswa.
As we arrived at the waterhole, this brown hyena made an appearance and slowly approached the trough to drink.

The Brownie approached the waterhole and came to drink
At the same time, we noticed that the lions from the previous day were still on the kill to the south, and one of the lionesses had seen the new arrival at the waterhole.
The Brownie carried on drinking
