There is a bit of a balcony, I think, and a pool by the restaurant, where the carriages spend much of their day?

Yes Spending a whole day in a train will remind me of the 1960's when it took 24 hrs by train to get back to boarding School in Grahamstown from my home in Parkmore JHB . But who in their right minds goes anywhere near Skukuza let alone stay in Camp..I must admit I do like Lake Panic but then thats all my Skukuza experience will ever be

apparently they are going to build a pool and a sundeck on the eastern side of the train
in the middle of the bridge overhanging the river...
