Loading your Avatar

Please note: Avatars are not stored in this forum's database but need to be linked to your Avatar which has to be stored on an outside Pic storage site such as Photobucket, Tiny Pics, Flickr or the like.

Please ensure that your avatar does not exceed the maximum dimensions of 100 X 100 pixels and then upload it to one of the above named sites or site of your choice. Once it has been uploaded, copy the image URL of your avatar and then proceed to your User Control Panel on this forum. Click on 'Profile' - 'Edit Avatar' and simply paste the URL in the field provided and click on 'Submit'
Please Note: The URL must be only the URL of the pic, leave off the [URL] brackets before the http:// and at the end of the address

I am having a problem uploading a photo to be used as an avatar.

The pixels have been reduced to the inimum pixels (100 x 100), but the file size is still too big @ 18kb.

Is there any way this can be adjusted?
Does it need to be adjusted now that photos can be stored directly on the website?

Most photo software can resize pics to reduce the KBs.

If it is still too big. Open the pic in your photo software programme and re-save it but make the file size smaller by using the quality slider. You may have to repeat this?
