Thanks everyone. Well I changed my mind, I did some birding this morning so I'll have to post a few pics.

This morning the sky was grey, but the sun broke through and lit this tree with Vultures in it...

Happy new year everyone and thanks Lis, Klippies, Richwit and Roger! :ty:

Let's get started with posting in the new year. I had quite an interesting drive this morning, but I'll start with two shots from the last day of 2020.

First up, another Dragonfly...

I was busy getting my fire going when a Brown Snake Eagle flew past...

Now for the first shots of 2021. I went on drive this morning, it was nice and cool but overcast and almost no wind to speak of. There were Kudu cows and this Waterbuck bull alarm calling, but I couldn't see what was getting them worked up...

It then started raining lightly, but it got harder every now and then. The birds were drenched and didn't even budge when I stopped next to them. Here is a White-throated Swallow looking sorry for himself...
