If you visit Kruger in the south a mini traffic jam would be about 30 cars
In the Kalahari 2 cars is one too many being just one road either way

Must have been a lot of cars at the sighting. Saw pix of her feeding from different people there.

Oh, and Gavin, one favour - could you please add the dates to the individual dates so I can keep track of the cheetahs? Thanks \O
Will do

26 October at 08h10
Appreciated - thanks! :-0

Thanks everyone :-)

After spending some time with Corinne, we decided that we needed to head to Auchterlonie for a short break from the car.

In previous trips we had seen a barn owl in the well at the museum, but recently it had evaded us.
Not so today

Debbie spotted it some 3 meters down the well O/\ O/\

The other people at Auchterlonie at the time were really impressed with her find O0

Having had our break, we couldn’t resist returning to Corinne, but before we got to her, we noticed this Cape cobra on the move next to the road

200m further on down the road, Corinne was still busy on her kill, and I couldn’t resist posting a few more pictures of her.

At one stage she got up and covered up some of the blood and entrails from the carcass with sand so as to prevent other predators smelling her breakfast, and coming and claiming it from her.

Clever girl

The balance of our morning drive was quiet and we returned to Twee Rivieren to vacate the chalet and to set up our tent for the next 3 nights in the un-electrified section of the campsite.

The only shady spot we could find was under a tree next to the road leading down from the chalets.

Luckily no-one uses that road very often, or they may have had a problem
