Joe, you probably shouldn't trust someone who doesn't camp but I would do it like this.

Take enough with you for 4 nights

Pre-order from Komatipoort Spar and have them freeze your meat except for what you might want on night 5
Collect some time in the afternoon as you will be (or should be) driving the S28 anyway O\/

Next shop at Phalaborwa Spar. Again pre-order and freeze.
Phalaborwa shopping is very quick if you are organised but someone must stay with the vehicle. Tops is right there too X#X . The H14 is a nice road and the whole journey with stops should be easily manageable.

Thanks Graham,

I recalled last night someone mentioning preordering in the past.

That will be the best option i think

Appreciate it.

You could use dry ice in a cooler box to keep meat frozen.

Another option you have is to drive up to Skukuza and pop out and visit Hazyview and do shopping there on your way to Satara

Next trip to the bush??

Let me think......................

You need to calculate if you drive out or deviate from your normal route to calculate the costs of petrol and time and add it to costs of food. May find it cheaper to buy in parks shops then.

I had that thought in the back of my mind.

In the South its not a problem, either KOmatipoort or Malelane.

But to go all the way Phalaborwa enroute to Tzende will work out pricier.

Joe, if you follow that logic then you should stay in camp all day and not do any game viewing.

Letaba to Mopani is 47km
Letaba to Phalaborwa is 52km, admittedly not my favourite road but then neither is Letaba - Mopani.

Phalaborwa to Mopani is 74 so that is the extra and I have always enjoyed that drive.
