When my Big & Hairy friends dont come to Grootvlei there is always the huge 100 strong plus flock of Guinea Fowl which make a lot of noise as they sprint down in single file to the waters edge for a social drink

Best place to try for Crested Guinea Fowl in Kruger is Pafuri (Better before the 2010 floods) and Punda Maria and surrounding Mahonie Loop. I took this in the evening on the Mahonie Loop (Click to open)

There is supposed to be a population of Crested Guineafowl in the densely wooded areas of the H4-2 between Lower Sabie and Croc Bridge.
But I have never seen them there.
Has anyone had a sighting in this area ?
