Lots of big birdies, Rog!
2 Martial eagles!
And an array of predators, hyena even active!
I like that S118 road.

A beautiful Martial eagle and an "arrogant" Verreaux's eagle owl
All three hyenas look rather thin
You had some nice sightings

I love the little banded mongeese, cheetahs are always a delight, the sunrise is gorgeous, Ellie antics are quite scary , the angry bird , and regal Martial Eagle are my favorites here.

Pumba
and lots more to come from the same road later
very thin youngsters
the Ellies were probably just "playing" but to have three big bull Ellies pushing and shoving is quite a sight .

We drove up to the top entrance to Biyamti and on the loop saw these regulars
This Kudu was chewing on some old bones
At the weir there was not much about .
We then found another angry bird again
and in some long grass these strange pair but we could not see what meal they were sharing
We decided to carry on down to the S118 and cross over to the main road on the way to camp ....

A klipspringer might be a regular, but I still have not seen one in all the years I have been going to the Kruger

Re: Yet Another Quick "Business" Trip to Kruger .
We came around the corner on the s118 and found doggies in the road .
There was already two OSV's and a bakkie present so we were following the group for a bit .There was a viewing loop at one point so we went around to get some better shots as the group moved passed .
After they passed we went to join the back again but the bakkie driver motioned for us to go ahead of him so we jumped on to following them .The dogs were moving onto and off the road as they were hunting .The two OSV's appeared to be on a tight schedule and as soon as the dogs left the road they left .Leaving us following the pack .
It was quite interesting as SO was taking photos out one window with the and me out the other .Dogs would disappear into the bushes and suddenly reappear next to the car .Needles to say we have hundreds of wild dog pics and videos .
Two vehicles met us coming down the road towards the direction the dogs were moving and stopped to watch . Suddenly one of the dogs alerted and the pack took off up the hill . We could not see where they went to the other cars left but we decided to wait and after about 5 or so minutes they started to return
This one had a prize of a whole Impala leg that it managed to sneak off with and crunched while we watched
It took a while for all the pack to reappear from the bushes and some also had a bath in a puddle before they moved on up the road
We were very happy campers as we carried on our trip to check into camp .
