Groundhog Day: Pretoriuskop Over and Over Winters 2018-23

Some yummy brunch, then sitting and meditating on the stoep before the sun begins to set...a walk down to the pool area before drive as always!

These things still making tunnels in the grass there?

This tree, not sure what it is...

But it makes a fruit like this, that is impossible to focus on...

The pool area dry and deserted, too cold even for Highvelders!

The sun came out nicely, and I got these Weeping Boerbean flowers, which bloom at the end of winter!


They make an awful sticky mess underneath...

Then off onto the loops around camp again, this time clockwise!

Good eye there spotting the spider w/ the egg sac - cool pic. Wonder what makes those tunnels in the dirt - any idea . Hope you can catch one in action someday. Impalas dotting the skyline lovely, as are the flowers

The next day we really did the extended trip this time...

We hit the new Ting Road that joins the H1-1 to the S65...it still doesn't have a number...

They really have the most human eyes up close!

When I did the "new" road, I found it terribly boring; landscape- and animal-wise.
