FROM SANPARKS 04.06.24

⚠️Social Media Alert ⚠️
Please note that Lower Sabie and Crocodile Bridge Rest Camps currently have no Eskom power since last night. These two camps’ power supply was affected by the storm from last night. The issue was escalated to Eskom as of this morning. Eskom indicated that they are currently inundated since the whole area was hard hit by the storm.
Our generators are currently being used, but they cannot power up the whole camp at one go. We ask that our valued guests be patient with us as we wait for intervention from Eskom.

⚠️Power Outage Update⚠️
Eskom power has been fully restored at Lower Sabie. Power was disrupted due to the storm that took down several power lines. The water shortage issue has since been resolved too, and our pumps are fully operational with Eskom power.
Thank you for your understanding and patience.
A huge thank you to our team firm Lower Sabie who were hands on assisting Eskom personnel since early this afternoon.

Thursday 27 June
From the SANParks - Kruger National Park FB page
⚠️Social Media Alert⚠️
Guests are hereby informed that Lower Sabie Rest Camp is currently without power, due to a couple of Eskom poles that burned. The fire is suspected to have erupted sometime between last night and early this morning, with the cause not yet known.
The matter has been reported to Eskom in the early hours this morning. We still haven’t received any positive feedback or have Eskom on sight to deal with the issue yet. We ask that our valued guests remain calm and patient with the team at reception who are trying their best under the circumstances. Generator power has not been able to sustain the camp including restaurant facilities since the outage. We will post update as and when received.
