The lions was a surprise, if you did not know they were there

They were there that morning, we just did not notice!

We hope for the best, Dzombs...no other option especially when Dadprins is along!

We regularly see security on the road...

We were extremely thrilled, the best Pretoriuskop sighting after so many years!

The lions had caught the lone buffalo from a couple of hours earlier when we were there!

Dadprins was not extremely impressed, he was still calling out birds! This was to be the beginning of The Great Fight Of Pretoriuskop, Part I...

One lioness was not right in the head, and either rolled around on the ground or ran around with a branch in its mouth...

Flushed with success, we returned to camp for Brunch!


And after an evening walk...

Back to the dam (without Dadprins)! As we approached I could not believe my eyes, a vehicle was moving along the dam wall from the parking towards the lions!

It then began to chase them around!

At first we were shocked, but upon closer inspection one could faintly see some markings which suggested it was a veterinary services vehicle, maybe checking up on the faulty lioness? It was very dark by then.

I alerted leachy to check social media in case this was reported by tourists, but nothing...


Anyway, back to camp for the rest of the huge family fight...

And back home the next day!
