Never seen one in camp, over all the years! Weird! (Maybe I go to bed/bath early?) -O
Only seen about 1 and a half on the roads!

In Kruger I saw two together flat on the road and only a very distant, but at least alive sighting in KTP so far.
It was midmorning - so not honey badger o'clock.

I did ask them but it would seem no. They maintain it was
a pangolin but you now them foreigners always add a pinch
of salt for better flavour.
That was a ratel for sure, the Tambotie camp dweller.
Returning from a afternoon drive to find the wheely bin
untied to the light pole near the skottel/braai area.
Found that strange. We continued to settle down after a
great day and became somewhat inebriated.
There was a loud bang and commotion outside. Instinctively
I knew that it happened at our doorstep leading to the deck!!
First I peeped through the crack, left by a non- functional door
before actually going outside. I then went outside to the edge
of the staircase my sister in law right behind and brazen.
I lit -up the world, using candle power, to find a silver grey/black
fluffy tail protruding from the up turned bin. My sister in law
found this rather amusing and started laughing at this hairy thingy
protruding when it decided for better intro and promptly headed
for the first step leading up to the deck.
Told my sis, best we get inside and sure it was hot on our heels.
Hah, the blighter had us in stitches!!
