Re: YEEEHAAA - I AM OFF ON HOLIDAY -NOT TO A GAME RESERVE TH
I mentioned earlier that there were still 3 days left of our holiday. Day 1 was 7 April when Pete, Ken and I went off to Basingstoke to try and get some pics of a steam train around Basingstoke - Salisbury area. These pics to follow later once I can get them transferred from Kens e-mail to My Pictures. I took video of the days outing and Pete and Ken took photos.
8 April as still very windy and cold but overcast with no snow. Joan and I decided to go have one last look in London.
Joan and Ken walking through one of those hundreds of mole tunnels in getting from one mole train to the next.
Ken took this unusual pic of Joan and I and Big Ben.
A close up of Big Bens face.
Big Ben.
All flags at half mast on the passing on of Maggie Thatcher.
Nelson Mandela statue near Big Ben.
Jan Smuts in the same area.
Joan and I with The Eye as a background.
You might have noticed that in all the photos Joan and I are wearing the same jackets. They were the only real warm jackets that we took with. We did change our other clothing though.
The Eye without us spoiling the view.

Nice photos again STF. Strange that you go to London and see statues of South African's whilst I went to Cape Town and saw a statue in remembrance of a Brit.
Looks like you really enjoyed yourselves despite the weather.
