Mon. April 22, 2013, Part 2
Tamboti - Skukuza

Another first for us...bushbuck on the S100. O:V

Image

We also came across a family of gooble-goobles... -O

Image

...and a fish eagle.

Image

Someone had told us of lions at Gudzani East but before reaching it , we stopped next to a vehicle with some youngsters from the UK. “There’s a lion in the hedge there.” A hedge? In Kruger? :-? -O Oh well, we searched the hedge in question and the Brat spotted it – another great lion sighting! :O^

Image

We carried on to Gudzani East and found a male lion sleeping quite far off...not even worth a pic...yet another quality sighting! 0*\ And that was the sum total of lion sightings this trip!

We turned back and headed towards Nwanetsi for a pit stop. Another Water Monitor...we saw quite a few on this trip.

This impi looked like Bambi with those white spots! :-)

A family gathering.

Something to brighten our day.

S100 always has surprise... not often this one we would like 0*\ but a Bushbuck ^Q^

nice Eagle gooble-goobles (what is that :-? except a Hornbil)
and, of course Water Monitor
but this time, I love particulary the Bambi and the Dragonfly ^Q^ O/\

Fantastic shot of the dragon fly - how did you get it to sit still long enough to take a photo?

Bambi is really cute.

Pity about the lions - maybe next time.

Aaaah the S100 - the jury is still out on that - we have had more bad days
than good ones 0*\ but we still go back - and back - and back O/

Nice bushbuck - looks as if his hair is standing on end \O \O

Pity the lions were so well hidden :-)
