To elaborate on Sprocky's appointment with the piece of terra firma. He chose the tent that necessitated a relatively long walk on a raised wooden walkway. The morning was early, he had no light and worst of all, he had had a skinfull of something O**
Halfway along the walkway, his brain stopped communicating with his muscles and he had a mishap which resulted in him taking a tumble, but fortunately a tree stopped his uncontrolled progress into the river. He did have a few scrape marks on his back left there by the contact with the tree.
Like RP says....idiot. ;-) X#X

By now, just after 2am, all was quiet at Nyati Pools. Everyone was asleep in bed except me, I was trying to get comfortable while suffering from property buyers remorse.

Next up, the first full day, unless any of the others have anything to add to the first night??? :-?

Hang on Toko, it's about to happen. ;-)

Day Two...

The tents are very dark inside, but luckily I left the side flap open and it leaked some early morning light, just enough for me to wake up. It was now going on 6am, and time to rise.

I went to the braai area to find I was the only one up and about. Fortunately it didn't take much effort to energise the coals from the previous night into a little flame to boil the kettle on.

I sat there pondering over the antics of the night before, and not much later the kettle signalled that the water was ready for a morning cuppa. IO

A splendid cup of coffee was shortly followed by another cup. It was after the second cup that there was movement from the bosses tent. Looking like a mirror image of how I felt, he joined me around the fire for yet another cup.

He looked like he had just been rescued after years of captivity in some nymphomaniac sect!

Ahem!! The tents do have electric lights in them, but in your condition you had an excuse not to notice.

It was great to get up to a boiling kettle on the fire and Sprocky and I then discussed how we anticipated the day would unfold.
We decided on a game drive as soon as we could get the teachers up, come back to camp for a good healthy breakfast and then head back out into the bush for as much a part or all of the day as we felt like. We had the farm pretty much all to ourselves as well as our own game drive vehicle so there were absolutely no restrictions placed on our plans. The biggest drawback was rousing the other two. Clubbing the steel braai with the shuvel brought no results, banging the kettle was even less effective, starting the bakkie made no difference so I eventualy walked up to RP's tent and hit the canvas side. That bought a muffled grunt, but with some persistency I got a few words out of him. "Sprocks and I are going for a drive, are you coming with us?" "Ummmphssss" was the response. "This is your last chance, are you coming ?" "I said YES".
"Well move your backside then" as I turned to return to the fire. Within less than 2 minutes the apperition appeared, both Sprocky and I were surprised that he could move that fast.
The next chore was for Sprocky to attempt to get Leachy to surface, so off he purposefully marches, but the master had beeten him to it. Heading for the showers leachy declined the offer of the early drive and preffered to do some photography around the camp. Can't say that I blame him after his experiences thus far.

People must understand that iNdlovu and Sprocky have metabolisms similar to those of hamsters. O**
