Well thank you iBoss (no auto ;-) ) \O

We couldn't stick around here all morning as we had a VIP waiting in camp for our return. O**

So off we went until we spotted this one. A very unusual bird in an unusual setting. Don't jump to conclusions when you see it, it's not what you think. O**

This is the seldom seen, R50 Oxpecker! 0*\

Moving further a few of these Vultures were perched in the trees.

Woo-hoo, wildlife to go with the wild-life of the night before.

Good retching posture you have there RP, hands well clear, bent over to avoid splashback and feet well clear of any spillage. ^Q^ -O

Great pics Sprocky. \O

I haven't retched for decades! ^0^

Sprocky was convinced the oxpeckers were yellow-billed, and I could spot with the naked eye that they weren't, and challenged him to bet money. This normally works very well with argumentative schoolkids...teachers take note! ;-)

But he entered and lost his bet... O**

Another hamster trend... :O^

It was only R50, but I knew how to gain it back...more about that later in the trip. O**

In KNP if you see Impala it is nothing special, over here they are out numbered. If you work on animals per hectare, in this reserve the winner must be these guys...

There are plenty of them and all in perfect condition! \O

RP had now come to life and after forgetting his camera somewhere, he was shouting orders at me to photograph every little and big thing that he found interesting. 0*\ This continued almost the entire weekend. 0-

This next pic was the first one that he ordered...

Two trees, -O-

Part of the reason for this early drive was to recon what is probably the most beautiful spot on the farm so that we could bring leachy there later, but it certainly was a very productive game drive at the same time. As said before one actually gets casual with all the game that's around, hence not too many pics of "normal stuff", but maybe Sprocky is keeping those for later in the day. -O-
